Where they are found
Our springs well up in the mountains at an average height of about 1,000 metres, surrounded by an ancient and unspoilt beech forest.
The Bauda and Anime springs were the first to be tapped, and in the early 1950s work began on drawing water from them. The Barillaro and Moja springs were discovered twenty years later.
The single steel aqueduct conveying the four springs, through a 4 km long pipeline, carries the water to the plant’s storage tanks.
All the springs, dug into the bare rock, are protected by a reinforced concrete tunnel, access to which is barred by steel doors. For greater security, each door is locked with special keys, designed and manufactured by the Company’s technicians.
The answers to some of the most frequently asked questions
Definitely. The Ministry of Health has certified Calizzano Mineral Water as suitable for children.
No, this is forbidden by law and against our principles. The mineral water is channelled through sterile stainless steel pipes (which do not alter its properties) and arrives in the bottle without any intervention.
Yes. Calizzano Mineral Water relies heavily on the home delivery service to relieve the customer from carrying heavy packaging home from the supermarket and to respect the environment, as glass is a completely reusable material.
