In the surrounding area, the qualities of the springs water had been known for centuries. It was precisely its distinctive freshness, particular lightness, and ability to stimulate the appetite and diuresis that prompted Angelo Nan and Augusto Ghiazza to decide, in the 1950s, to bring springs water to everyone's table.
The first plant was established in 1961 and, with the founding of the company "Acqua Minerale di Calizzano," the bottling program began, which would soon allow everyone to enjoy this unique water in their own homes, satisfying the needs of everyone, from newborns to adults.
In 1962, the Ministry of Health recognized the water from springs as mineral water, and in the following months, the first bottle was capped.

of production
Initially, Calizzano water was delivered only to residents in the local area. Today, however, the company operates in most regions of northern Italy and boasts an annual production of 40 million bottles, which are also sold on the international market.
To meet this increase in demand, the company has invested in the construction of a new bottling line dedicated exclusively to glass. Being fully automated and using the most sophisticated and innovative technologies and machinery, it has replaced the original production line, bringing with it optimal management of the entire bottling process.
